Friends School is a project created by Rede Globo (TV Globo and affiliated stations) in order to contribute to strengthening education and public school education. The project encourages the involvement of everyone (education professionals, students, family and community) in this effort and the participation of volunteers and organizations in developing educational activities - complementary, and not in substitution for curricular activities / education - and citizenship, the benefit of students, the school itself, its professionals and the community.
The project is implemented in partnership with the United Nations Fund for Children (UNICEF), Get Involved, National Council of Secretaries of Education (Consed), National Union of Municipal Education Managers (Undime) as well as institutions and companies committed to quality education for all.
The Friends School is a communication project implemented in a decentralized manner. It uses the forces behind the Globo to sensitize the population and the school community to give its contribution to the continuing improvement in public school (in its central role of formal education and community center). Moreover, develops useful tools for the school that performs or intends to engage in activities with volunteers.

Mobilize volunteers through campaigns on TV and tell the people (through the website and by phone) about the schools that are interested in receiving volunteers;
Disseminate good experiences in journalistic spaces Globo;
Theme Days promote national measures that may be utilized by the school to streamline its activities and projects;
Contribute subsidies to the school management, providing information and resources for their own school to develop your skills to better use and organization of activities.
